Imbewu Future Leaders Programme

Supporting the next generation of South Africa's changemakers.

South Africa is in the hands of the grassroots youth change-makers, to change the current social and economic crisis. We believe that with our support, these active young citizens can pave the way toward the social, environmental, cultural and economic success of South Africa. Through the principles of "Ubuntu" and passion, coupled with entrepreneurship we can upskill and equip our youth to increase their positive impact.

We will be hosting a Facilitation for Transformation programme, empowering youth to drive positive change impact while creating income-generating opportunities for young leaders to sustain their impact. Participants will be equipped with professional facilitation skills, to be used when convening community groups, speaking with local government officials or working with youth in their environment.

🎤

Why?

  • Events run by someone with facilitation skills can be transformational.
  • This means that participants change how they see themselves and their communities.
  • Just imagine if South Africa's young changemakers were equipped with these skills before they turn 20.

"In 2022 I attended Facilitation for Transformation. I was selected as the youngest participant with people who had so much experience in facilitation. Now I am using the experience I've gained to impact Wildfire youth in my community church every Friday night. In 2023 I studied fashion design at Fedisa which was always my dream — this was through Social Enterprise Academy because I received certificates that allowed me to get accepted."
— Sikelela Kwatsha, Imbewu Programme Participant
